Bob and Denise's Wanderlust travel blog

Sunday May 22- We woke up to rain, again. It was cold, in the 50’s. I finally finished the laundry and Bob closed off the tank so that we can build up some rinse water for dumping tomorrow before we leave. At least, we hope we are leaving. We are having our windows fixed in Bend OR, so I sent the guy an email that we will be arriving late. He has changed our service date from 5/25 to 5/29. I worked on HEDIS for several hours while Bob did some internet searching. Then I worked on some of our plans for later this summer. Bob took the dogs for a walk and while he was gone, I checked on Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Eeek, most of the park is still closed due to snow! We had planned on touring the park over Memorial Day weekend, but the north entrance, where we would go into the park, is closed. In fact, only a few miles is actually open. This creates a problem for us visiting this park that we really wanted to see. We are missing Baker City, and the Oregon Interpretative Center, due to having to change our plans because of the car. So we are changing them again. We aren’t going to need to stay 2 nights down near Crater lake, so now we are going to go north to Baker City and visit the Interpretative Center. So we started looking at alternate camping areas.
