(Ron Writing) We decided to spend a nice relaxing day at home at our beautiful campsite in Carrizo Plain. We went for a long walk this morning. I spent most of the day reading and planning for our summer travels. I did my reading outdoors where my only distractions were the visits and sounds of the many songbirds that live in the trees here. We don’t have any cell or Internet service here so there aren’t any of those distractions.

The weather was very nice again.

( Elena Writing) I spent much of the day baking chocolate chip cookies and Ron’s favorite food, cinnamon sticky buns. I also made mocha rice crispy bars and quinoa salad. Sure had a lot of fun practicing my culinary art skills once again.
