Trans Canada Trail

Magnetic Hill, Moncton NB

It is SO wonderful to be back in Canada!! After quite a long drive through the middle of nowhere in Maine, we finally passed through what must have been the easiest border security ever to cross into St. Stephen, NB. The very first thing we did after hurrahing Canada was go to Tim Horton's for a large double-double and a doughnut. MMMmmmmmm.

We drove up to Fundy National Park, on the coast, and camped there for 3 nights. We spent one day touring the park and the sights, the next touring outside the park, and driving along seeing lighthouses and little towns along the way. It was very scenic and extremely rural. Despite the damp weather and fog, we were not deterred from seeing the sights. Unfortunately, our last night in the park, it stormed, and we ended up taking down camp in the pouring rain. (Don't want to do that again if we can help it!)

The Bay of Fundy has the highest recorded variation of tides between low tide and high tide due to geography and geology - pretty neat!

We're now headed northeast - to Nova Scotia and Halifax with a quickie stop in Moncton to view Magnetic Hill. (That's where you put your car in neutral at the bottom of the hill and it rolls backwards uphill due to Magnetic strength).
