Midwest Meanders 2011 travel blog

We've been traveling up Highway 259. Yesterday we stopped at the Idabel, OK Museum of the Red River. It is free and well worth that price. They have an impressive dinosaur skeleton. The fossils were found 12 miles from the museum. The balance of the museum is native american displays.

Today, we toured Hiqhway 1 from Talihina, OK to Mena, AR. It is a favorite for motorcycle riders. After 6 geocaches, several cloud bursts, hail, wind, falling temperatures, we ate lunch at the Queen Wilhelmina State Park.

We are back to the Winnebago. It is raining, water is standing in the campground, but we are high and dry. Time to catch up and do Sudokus.
