|We drove from Malibu to beautiful Morro Bay. All along the 101 are mission bells marking the historic El Camino Real, the Kings Highway. Our campground is the Morro Bay State Park. This park is gorgeous. Huge Eucalyptus and Pines. Old conservation core tables and barbeques built in the 30’s from stone and wood. Site 16. A pull through site with water and power. Perfect. Right across the street is the estuary of Morro Bay, a Marina and café and the Natural History Museum. A short drive into town is the Embarcadero. We went to a street fair on Saturday afternoon and bought some chips and salsa from a vendor along with cherries and fresh veggies. When we got to our campsite, Dan went to get his shoes out of the truck that he had washed and left in the back to dry. He only found one so I used my droid phone browser to find a shoe store that carried Teva sandles. Dan’s last pair he had had for at least 10 years and wore them everywhere. We found the store and bought a replacement pair. It is still a mystery where that one shoe went to. We have had a bit of light rain, we get out to walk when it stops. We really like the town of Morro Bay.
