| Greetings from…Grand Island NE. And of all the islands in Nebraska, this one is the grandest, hence the name. Seriously, I have no idea how a town in the middle of the land-locked prairie gets a name related to a chunk of land surrounded by water. We have been to many islands, and this is not even close to what we would call an island. Anyway; we hopped on I-80 eastbound and put Cheyenne and it’s snow flurries and cloudy skies in the mirrors and started our trip home. The weather most of the day was cloudy and cool but here in Grand Island it is actually pretty nice. It’s probably around 60 degrees and sunny and the forecast for tomorrow is for more of the same – with lighter winds - so if we have any kind of luck, they will be right. For those of you that anxiously wait for the stunning photographs and engrossing, witty descriptions of our trek, sorry; we got nothing today. |
