Close up of the thousands of wind turbines along HWY 20
| We hit the road about 11:30 and headed 250 miles West towards New Mexico. The drive really showed Texas prairie and desert. Nothing for miles but there was miles and miles of wind turbines. Who is paying to install of them and who maintains them? We stopped in Big Spring , TX. I don't get the name because we can't find any springs. There is however a huge FINA gas refining plant here and you can smell the fuel from miles away. Were staying at The Whip In RV Park which is not the best RV park in Texas but it will do for the nite. We had to take a 30 amp site because all the 50 amp sites were taken but Rockin Z has an automatic energy shedding system so it worked out ok. You can't run all the air systems at once but luckily it's not to hot. The guy who helped us park in our spot was on hoarse back. We had a pretty good dinner at the Cowboy Steak house and the kids had chicken fried chicken that was amazing. Were heading to the Alien capital in the AM. |
