Well the official day two of our trip. On our way to New Orleans via the Natchez Trace. Our destination is the Tishomingo, MS State Park about 150 miles from Nashville. We stopped at the Meriwether Lewis burial site. He was 35 when he died. Can you imagine all the things he accomplished in his life and he died at 35? Man I'm 71 and not even close. We had a 4 hour trip and stayed at Tishomingo. So to get to the campground is almost 2 miles off the Trace and all down hill. Narrow paved winding roads. Then most of the sites are on a hill overlooking a lake. It was quiet and beautiful. Early to bed for the long trip tomorrow.
