Today we spent most of the day in the town of Dingle. This is the jumping off point for touring the Dingle Peninsula, so it is a busy tourist town. Today is a banking holiday so many local Irish people are here enjoying a three-day weekend. There was live music and a small farmers' market with food and crafts. At about 1pm a lively parade complete with bagpipes wound through the streets of town to celebrate the beginning of May and their summer. The parade is best described with the attached pictures. Besides the parade, we spent the time shopping and tasting the local food and brew.
