When we got back to the RV park, I went for a ride with Mike Murphy on his motorcycle. He had an extra helmet (red) for me and a pair of black leather gloves; they matched my outfit. A couple of times on the freeways he went 100 miles per hour while passing several vehicles! Our first stop was at the Best Stop Supermarket where he bought some boudin (sausage) balls and I bought some mixed sausage links for our potluck dinner tonight.
Next, we stopped at Target where Mike bought a light blanket to replace the one in his motorhome which is nearly worn out. Then we went to Breaux Bridge to the Café des Amis so he could find out the best time for us to arrive there for breakfast tomorrow morning. They open at 7:30 but the waitress suggested that we be there no later than 7:00 in order to get a table. It is a very popular place because of the Zydeco music and dancing and there is always a line of people waiting to get in. Since there is a big festival this week end, it probably will be even more crowded.
Now I can say that I am an experienced motorcycle passenger. Linda took a photo of us on the motorcycle and promised to e-mail me a copy after she gets back home to Maryland.
For a while late this afternoon we all sat under a big tree and enjoyed the cool breeze. Then it was time for our potluck dinner. The weather has been perfect all day.
