Finally, a travel day. It has been far too long. As travel days go, it was uneventful. Well, unless you want call snow an event. We drove 170 miles north to Wyoming and have stopped for the night at the Wyoming Welcome Center.

Traffic was moderate, but not so bad for a holiday weekend. We were just happy to get through Denver without much hassle. There were a couple areas of construction, but they were on the secondary road in Colorado Springs which we took to the interstate.

We stopped for a long break at the rest area just south of Fort Collins. Gene even took a short nap. We didn’t want to arrive at the Wyoming Welcome Center too early.

There are a couple things we want to do in Cheyenne so will move to a campground in the morning. In the meantime, we’ll enjoy watching the eight prong horn antelope which we can see from our window. They’re sharing a huge pasture with three bulls, four Canada geese, and a pair of rabbits.

So here we are, on the road again, heading north then west with stops in Cheyenne, Casper, and Yellowstone National Park.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for tagging along.
