| We traveled from Corpus Christi to Baton Rouge today. It was a long trip, but we arrived mid afternoon. We had our first taste of boiled peanuts in Lousiana. Needless to say, they would not be something I would try again. Between the traffic and the food we decided that this would not be a place we would probably return to again. It took us 50 minutes to go one mile on I-10. We were headed to a Rural Life Museum (approx 10 miles away). Since the traffic was so slow, we would need to spend the night in the parking lot in order to get into the museum the next morning. Needless to say, we turned around and in over 2 hours we were back at our hotel(approx 2 miles roundtrip). |
