I'm finally back to summer!
After 2 days in Coral Bay which we spent snorkelling, swimming and hanging around lazy we drove on to Exmouth. We finally have sunshine the whole day again, although it's quite windy which makes it a bit chilly. Our delay in Perth apparently came in handy as the caravan park we're staying at was knee deep under water 2 weeks ago, tents floating away and so on. But it's nice and dry now.
To stay not too dry we (that is Bastian, Falco who we keep meeting along the way, and me) went diving today. We did the Navy Pier dive, one of the Top 10 Dive spots in Australia. It's located within a Navy communication Base, to get there you have to get a key and open about 3 gates, high security...
We jumped from a platform into the water about 2 meters below and dived along and under the pier at about 12m. As there is no fishing allowed there's lots of marine life, we've seen Octopuses, White Tip Reef Sharks, Queensland Gropers (about 1,50m!) and lots and lots of smaller fish. There was a strong current which rove me against one of the poles and I got some quite nasty cuts on my hand from one of the shells, but I think I'll survive ;-).
I think I'll spend the rest of the day on the beach, watching Falco trying to catch a fish for dinner and relaxing. I really need some rest, because we have another big day tomorrow. And when I say big, I mean big: We're going on a Whale Shark tour, sorkelling with the biggest fish in the world, up to 18 meters!
