WORLD'S VIEW THROUGH MY PEN travel blog

We decided to stop at this state park hoping for a pleasant, quiet atmosphere and cheap fees. Ha. We never dreamed we would be treated to one of the most beautiful trails we had ever traversed. Many waterfalls and an abundance of new green foliage with dashes of white dogwoods throughout the forests. The park ranger advised us that heavy storms, wind gusts and possible tornadoes were expected throughout the night. We only got lots of rain and thunderstorms, but no wind or tornadoes, thank goodness. The bridge over the river leading to the campground was eleven feet wide. Our coach is 8 1/2 feet wide with a foot of mirrors on both sides so it was a driving feat Russell did to get it through with no scratches.
