Stephanie and Russell in front of us with full moon

From South of the Border RV Park

If you travel south from VA through NC to SC, then you have seen the numerous signs Pedro put up advertising South of the Border. We saw them 25 years ago when we took the children to Disney World and then several other times traveling down I-95. We never had the urge to stop though. Our neighbors, David and Miles, stayed here and told us how nice it was. We thought it would be a good stop on our way back to VA. It is a nice campground but we didin't arrive until after dark and they didn't have any pull throughs left so Stephanie and Russell had to back their 5th wheel in. It was a little difficult and a man came out of his RV and assisted even though we didn't need him. We had promised ourselves that we wouldn't travel at night anymore but nevertheless, here we were. It was a beautiful drive from Perry and we made a couple of wrong turns but the drive was nice. Stopped at a Flying J for gas and both RV pumps had RV's there and the people weren't in a hurry to move. It took us about 45 min. to get gas which was very annoying and made us that much later. Once it got dark there was a full moon and since we were driving east, it was in view most of the time.

We didn't leave earlier this morning because Stephanie's dog, Logan, had 2 trials to do, so we were early afternoon leaving. It's been a long day but we don't plan to leave tomorrow morning until 9 or 10 thank goodness! Until we meet again...
