Pa & Ma Jones go Full Time RVing travel blog

Thank God we are finally underway and we have left the old life behind. I had my share of tears the morning that we left and I couldn't bring myself to torture myself by going out to the graves of our little Nino, Tigger and Buster's. I remembered all of the good times that we had there and of all of the people we have entertained and loved and shared with over the last seven years. There were so few bad times that I didn't want to dwell on them so I enjoyed the good memories and when we drove out the driveway, we didn't look back.

We have handled the emotions pretty well until the last couple of weeks and if it wasn't for the prayers of our loved ones, we might have collapsed under the pressure. No matter how we determined to get this done with dignity and no regrets, it was harder for me than I thought it would be. Maybe it's because I'm older. I've started over many times in my life and I don't get attached to things but this time I was leaving a life that I loved. I have a wonderful church family; precious sister's in Christ to pray with and share with from our prayer group; great trucker friends who love to come visit; great friends to go visit and the BEST neighbors in the world...our pastor and his wife, Tom & Sharon.

Thank you Kevin and Linda for hauling off truck load after truck load of our stuff and finding a way to get it into the hands of some people who can use it. Thanks Diane & Joe, Bruce and Carol, Carol & Don, Billie, Bobbie, Yvonne, Louise, Linda & Kevin and Martha for coming and buying stuff and for feeding us on Sunday. We appreciate the prayers and love of you and the rest of the prayer group!

Bill and Judy were so good to come and help and to buy so much, such a help to us and such a blessing! We love you both and you too, Ray J.

We've arrived at our daughter's house and we got to see her and Rachel, Rebecca and Jacob.

Ray and Becky came over and we had supper together. Tammy has such a nice old home. I'm so happy for her and proud of what she's accomplished!

We'll be visiting Craig, Patti, Connor and Charlie tomorrow and Sunday. It will be good to see them, too!

I'm going to go snuggle with the old man and cover up with my warm, lumpy comforter, if I can get the lumps to move over and give me some room! Goodnight!
