From Wanee Lake Golf Course & RV Park
We drove about 4 hours yesterday and stopped at this RPI park. This came with our Thousand Trails membership but we had never used it. This park is only 2 years old but we were overlooking a golf course and last night we walked down to a 7 acre lake. It is really beautiful and quiet. We had great neighbors from SC (originally Chicago) and we talked to them for a while after we set up. Then we went out exploring the town. It is small but very quaint. We stopped at a Kentucky Fried (I was craving it and there wasn‘t much else) and the people were so nice. A man started talking to us in line and another man joined him. Then they sat near us and a Methodist minister joined them. When we left they all said it was nice meeting us and wished us well in our travels. I love this country and especially the south where the people are so friendly and I’m thankful to be able to have an RV that allows us to visit these places. I was sad to leave Florida but I do like rolling in our MH to new places. It’s a great country and there’s a lot to still see. So, until we meet again…
