Hello from Shiduli(the lodge by Karongwe;it means termite mound)! We had an outstanding day today! Just today we went on two game drives; one in the morning and one at night. We saw amazing amounts of wildlife today as well. That includes tons of impala, lots of zebras, a herd of waterbuck, some wildebeast, a pair of jackels, three rhinos, a herd of about 20-30 elephants of all sizes(including a baby), a hippo(sort of), a giraffe from far away, an eagle, the lions(two females and four cubs(8 months old)), and the best and rarest of all, the leopard. The most entertaining were the lion cubs. The only bad part was, it was dark, so photography was limited. Luckily the guide had a flashlight so we could see the lions. We watched them for about half an hour, maybe 45 minutes. The lions had TONS of energy so they were playing the whole time. It was so magical. Once, three of the cubs went behind a bush. The fourth stayed out. Suddenly, the three cubs all pounced on the fourth and they wrestled for about 10 minutes. I was so upset that the light wasn't right to take photos though. It was still amazing even though almost no good pictures turned out. I can't wait to show you the few that did! The leopard was definitely the most beautiful. I got lots of pictures of it. Surprisingly, the leopard was the hardest to find. I think it's because of the spots on their fur they use for camoflauge. I can't wait too show you pictures! I miss you guys a whole bunch!
Love Love Love,
Maddie
