Mark Twain Caves

We stayed at the Mark Twain Cave Campground RV Park in Hannibal, MO. This is a beautiful park - large spacious sites with trees all around. Also, they have the Mark Twain cave to see for recreation.

Mark Twain's (Samual Clemens) hometown lived up to its fame. Everything from Sam's old house to Becky's house and definitely the cave met our expectations. We were hoping to get the same feel about Hannibal and the Mississippi thaqt inspired Clemens to write about Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Injun Joe, Becky Thatcher and others. We were not disappointed. We also took a short cruise on the Mississippi on a paddleboat.

Both Arkansas and Missouri are very beautiful states. The people are warm and friendly and make traveling a pleasure.
