Here we are at the Retirees Rally in Canton, TX. We re-united up again with John and Jan at the entrance so we could park together for the rally. The Rally has some activities planned but not a lot. This is a laid back rally, remember it is for Retirees. They have evening entertainment which so far has been excellent. Awesome to say the least!
Sunday and Monday are early bird days with the Rally beginning on Tuesday, Mar. 22. On Tuesday we attended a seminar on "RVing Atlantic Canada" then John and Jan went to attend the "First Timers Seminar. At 3:00pm was the "Indiana Hospitality" followed by 7:00pm with the Opening Ceremony". The first night entertainment was "Gordy & Debbie Wensel" they were tremendous, they also perform in Branson, MO (home of all kinds of country performers). Their performance they do is called "A Tribute to George Strait".
On Wednesday we attended the Iowa Hospitality, followed by the evening program. The entertainer for the evening was a Singer/instrument player "Sarah Getto". Although Sarah was born blind she has some amazing talents, she can SING. Wow can she sing.
Thursday was our brisket/chicken dinner. After the dinner was our Memorial Service. This is where we remember those who have departed us over the last year. After the Memorial Service was our evening entertainment. We saw a variety show. It was great. They had twelve entertainers, from story and joke tellers, to singer, to comedy act. Was fun for all.
As you can see this is a fairly laid back rally. Not a lot going on. So this is a good time to catch up on things like websites for Tom and the travel blog for Debbie along with catching up on bills.
