Staying in a fort after skiingMar 18, 2011

| We enjoyed having the Lumbies visit for a week. We capped off their visit with some skiing in the Alps. We headed back to Serre Chevalier, likely our favorite of the 4 ski areas we have been to. Carl and the Lumbies headed up and enjoyed Friday, and Jen brought the Spiess kids up after school Friday evening. We stayed at a cute little hotel inside an old fort. It was fun driving across a moat to get in to the town. The next day of skiing was a perfect sunny day, and we all had to be careful not to wind up with sunburnt noses. A memorable dinner on the way back home in Sisteron and the Lumby visit was complete. It is even more fun to explore France with friends! |
