Today was a good day, long, but good. We left home about 6:30 this morning and made it to Oklahoma City. We'll stay here for two nights and do some sightseeing tomorrow. Sophie's doing good, I bought her a new bed and she seems to like it. The high winds made it a little harder to drive but no problems. Thanks for the messages, it made my day!!
Yeah! I'm now able to load pictures! The first is a picture of our truck and camper in front of our house before we left. We loaded the camper and took off from NewTown. In the second picture we had just set up in the Oklahoma City, OK campground. Pinkie was so excited to get out of the truck to take a break. Pinkie is enjoying the road trip.
The other two pictures are at the OK City OK bombing site memorial and museum. We spent several hours going through the museum. It's unbelievable what damage was done. The buildings around the Murray bldg were also damaged and one of those buildings in now the museum, the outside wall facing the the Murray bldg was repaired only to the point of security, the windows and doors were bricked over and the breaks in the brick wall were tuckpointed, the roof line is still damaged. Art is in front of the monument, there's a wall at each end of the monument with 168 lighted chairs representing the people killed in that attack. The lives of many others were changed forever. Puts things in to perspective.
