From the 2nd to the 5th we went on a 3 day trip to the Mekong Delta. And man was it hot! Upto 45 degrees Celcius and 99% humidity! The wet season was due to start but apparantly it was waiting for us to die in the build up first!

While tripping through the rice capital of Vietnam we saw the following attractions:

Tropical palm lined canals and little village islands, Tried locally made coconut candy and local honey, Also tried the local python on for size!, and ofcoarse while handling a snake one should always be drinking the local rocket fuel (rice wine) followed by a chaser of local tea!, Their where fruits to taste and music to enjoy at the local orchids, And a crap bonsai garden to visit (Peter was very disapointed), Sleep!

The next day it was off to the floating markets (which is the way of life and trade down here), The rice noodle farm, the pig farm, and the Croc farm!, And then up some mountaine to watch the sunset over the Vietnam - Cambodia border from a temple, Sleep!

The final day we visited the floating fish villages, the Champa (Ethnic minority) community, And then a very hot and uncomfertable 7 hr bus trip home.

Oh and did I mention that the whole time we were dying in the bus because the aircon. broke as soon as we left HCMC!
