Natchez State Park.
Another travel day. Since I had arrived in Hattiesburg a day early, I could have stayed another night at the Hattiesburg Lodge, but I decided to hit the road for the Mississippi.
And since I got here a day early, I may stay a little longer, since there is more to see.
On my way up here today, I was on 98 again, and although a secondary road, it was a very nice drive for the majority of the way. Most of it is divided, 2 lanes each way, but different than a freeway in that it follows the terrain, and there is much less traffic. Also less commercial, except when going through towns. I guess that’s the other thing – there are cross streets with stop lights on occasion, so there was more stop and go.
