We walked for miles in Florence, stopped in and stopped by nearly every shopkeeper or market stall holder throughout the whole town while still managing to see the main sites to see - the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and again all the narrow cobblestone streets that threaten to toss you into the gutter with a broken ankle. Busloads of students and Asian tourists crammed the streets in the afternoon and we felt not unlike the Salmon trying to get back up the stream at one point.

I took lots of arty shots and spent a small amount of time in leather jacket shops and managed to get out of town without a one to replace my fantastic one from the boss. I did get a couple of remarks from the stall holders on it tho’

We stopped for lunch in a place where i had a dodgy clam and we had a beer each large enough to swim a few laps in...

As we were walking back to the car we had to negotiate the maze of streets and found ourselves surrounded by Riot Police and their armoured vehicles, it seems like it is something i am good at finding myself involved in.
