Today we headed to Potter's Creek Park on Canyon Lake. It is a Corps park that is open all year round. It is located about half way between Austin and San Antonio so we thought we would make it our resting place for at least a week while we did some sightseeing in the area.
Potter's Creek is a Corps park so the price was right. The only problem is that we don't have sewer here but we will be fine for a week.
The park is just gorgeous and we had a beautiful view of the lake from our site. There were deer everywhere and when we opened our door to go outside one was right outside our door so we had to take his picture! There is a group of folks who stay the winter at this park in a section that is reserved for winter Texans. It wouldn't be a bad place to spend some down time that is for sure but we would miss the activities that are fun and the dances in the Valley!
I loved the grasses in the park and the sunsets were fantastic! We also got some pictures of Egyptian Geese that stay at the park. We hadn't seen these guys before!
