Jerusalem Wednesday 6am
We have an early call to be on the bus by 7:45 today. We are heading for the Dead Sea, Qumran, En Geddi, and Masada. That is, if the roads are open! the rain in Jerusalem all runs off that way and the roads have been flooded. Jerusalem is 2,700 ft above sea level and the dead sea is 1,300 below- so we will make a 4,000 ft descent to get there.
But the guide promises it will be warmer- the weather is supposed to break today and be better for the week. these are wonderful sites and I amready to get out of the city for a bit. I think I am still a bit overwhelmed with the trip to Yad Va Shem and it will be good to get out to the "Wilderness".
I did an Online chat with a tech from my Internet server this morning to see if I can get into my e-mail account and he apologized and said they have identified this part of the middle east as a place alot of spam originates, so they have a block on receiving anything from here! Nothing to get around it. So I guess I am lucky to be able to get the blog site through!
Well, you all have a good nite rest and I will be back to you this evening.
