The River is Rising, again
It has been raining day and night now for 6 days. The worst of this storm is to hit and spin on out of here today. Bout damn time!
We normally live outdoors quite a bit of time. Not only because of our outdoor athletic activities but also we eat outside, read outside, and of course, cook outside.
So far I have not driven Nancy over the edge, yet. It is not easy having to take my act indoors. And dodging rain bursts while we are out and about is getting old, too. But on the light side, we like being together, so we are ok with the weather forced isolation.
I saw a splash of blue outside a little while ago. Truly the first blue sky we have seen for 6 days. Los Angeles already has their entire season of precipitation surpassed. The rest of the country better start stacking up on snow shovels and survival gear.
We are working on our Christmas Eve menu for when we go south to ‘Aunt Lois and Uncle Wally’s place for a midday dinner. They were the best friends of Nancy’s folks, Betty and Jack. We did this last year and had a blast, so back for more!
Well, we saw something like sunshine outside, so we are going to see if we are seeing things.
