Well traveled and happy to be home!
| Day 22 - Kettleman City to Chico Starting Odometer: 36070 Ending Odometer: 36365 Miles traveled today: 295 TOTAL MILES Traveled: 7,555 An easy day – only about 5 hours up I-5 and I’m home! The rain never materialized so I just stayed bundled up and kept on cruisin’. I stopped in Manteca to take a break and warm up. Other than that, I felt like I was already home just being in Northern California. I was conflicted with thoughts of wanting to be home and wanting to extend the whole trip experience. Home definitively wins. I’m looking forward to being with my family and friends and having the luxury of time through the holidays. Besides, with all that I’ve experienced and learned – about the challenges of this kind of travel and, most importantly, about myself - I now can now look forward to many more adventures, big or small. It’s a big world out there, and the road is calling. I can’t wait. |
