| Our gig was finally up.... we had to leave!!! Very sad day for all of us..... Dixie and Mike and Marci & Chad took to us like family and it was a difficult day. Marci arranged to have a final luncheon with her & Chad, Dixie & Mike, as well as Thad & Angie (another daughter & son-in-law that run the local large motel)... We finally got all packed up and disconnected and headed past the Inn for the last time (this year!) and met at the local restaurant for lunch. It was really nice, yet sad and exciting at the same time.... we had been here since late March and were "ready to go"... yet, we felt such a great attachment to all these wonderful people that had welcomed us to their homes and community. But, "We're outa here"!!!!! We had fueled up our rig and headed SOUTH!!!!!! We had to stop in St George first to get re-supplied.... we drove there and spent the day shopping, stayed overnight (at the local WallyWorld) and then headed over to the Grand Canyon...... |
