| I woke with a bit of a hang over but powered through it without any chemical assistance. We went for some brunch at a pub in the square and then I went for a wander. I met up with the others again outside the Cathedral watching street performers. After I had a look around at the craft market and bought the essential wooden beaded necklace and bracelet that all true backpacker have, (lol) we went to the flicks and watched Kingdom of Heaven, Mr Bloom was as usual looking fantastic and it was a most enjoyable experience! Lol We went to the grocery store and the bottle shop on the way back to the YHA and I had a little nap/ I was really tired but wanted to make the effort for our last night travelling with the Italians. Niki was very tired also so didn't come out but the three of us had some drinks before we went out and Guiliano made me neck neat Vodka so we were both singing in the street as we walked and Ruth was just laughing at us. We went back to the Holy Grail, which was really busy due to the NZ victory against OZ in the final of the Rugby that day. I was very briefly introduced to an All Blacks player who was out on the town celebrating but have no idea who he was. I was chatting with some supporters from the game for quite a while and with a Kiwi guy called Philip who now lives in Sydney with his wife and is voice product manager for Vodafone Australia. Before he left me gave me his card and suggested I cal him when I get to Sydney to go out for drinks. I was then ready for a club but I think Ruth had lost her momentum a bit, so the two of us went back to the YHA for bed. |
