Ireland - Day 5 CorkNov 19, 2010

| Well our last day in Ireland. Travelling from Spanish Port to Cork using a ferry crossing for part of the trip. Drove through Kilarny as we didnt have time to stop. Look liked a beautiful place to visit. Managed a quick stop at Blarney Castle and I went up and kissed the Blarney stone. Not bad for someone who is terrified of heights! Then we spent 2 hours driving around Cork in a bit of confusion before finally stopping and booking into the Jurys Inn in Cork city. Had a great night at the Welcome Inn. Great atmosphere for a pub as big as the forends on a O boat. Met some great Welsh ladies (Cath did not me!) and it had great music later in the night. Early night for Cath late one for me. Oh, and it now has a great Australian Submarines sticker (put up by the barman not me!). |
