We had a lot to do before we could really feel “settled in” at our winter home in Mercedes, TX.
We wanted to begin slowly and work up to the “Git ‘er done” phase.
With that thought in our mind we shared some coffee and then drove in to town to have breakfast at “Mingo’s”. Huevos Rancheros were soon in front of each of us, and we drove back to the RV quite satisfied with our breakfast choice.
I should say, for those who are on the way to Llano Grande, that Business 83 is under construction and closed between the resort and the town of Mercedes. The entrance road (Mile 2 west), has been improved but not re-paved or anything like that. Many of the streets inside the resort have been resurfaced and are very nice.
Back at the RV, Marilyn put laundry in and then began cleaning the inside of the RV.
I worked outdoors, taking the bike off the bike rack and then storing the bike rack in the back of the truck.
I cleaned and straightened the basement storage area and then assembled the new grill.
I called to have our rig washed tomorrow afternoon, and scheduled the truck for an oil change Wednesday afternoon. We will also have the truck washed, waxed and detailed on Wednesday or Thursday.
Once things were looking pretty good in the basement storage area, I set up the Wii and the basement TV.
Next on my agenda was to help Marilyn change the linen on the bed.
Wow! Our little rolling home looks and smells so good. Not since we were in Colorado, has it looked so good.
I am planning to fix some Red Beans and Rice with Andouille sausage for dinner tonight.
At this time we are relaxing in the A/C comfort of the RV.
The sun is shining brightly outdoors and it is a beautiful day with fairly low humidity.
We are so contented to be here.
Life is Good!
