Before leaving Cambodia, we went to visit a silk farm and had the opportunity to see how it's produced and made, which was really interesting. Who'd have thought that caterpillars were so enthrawling!
We then headed towards the boarder where it took about 2 hours to get through customs, which was quite tiring in the full heat of the day. After entering Thailand, we then had a 4.5 hour drive to Bangkok in 2 mini buses. I don't remember much as I half slept most of the way, but did notice that the roads and infrastructure were immediately more advanced than in Cambodia. Everyone was sad to leave Cambodia behind, it's such a lovely place to visit, with really kind and thoughtful people.
After freshening up at our Bangkok hotel, we then headed out for our final group meal. We then went on to a rooftop bar with live music, which was really chilled out and fun. Most of the group said their good byes around 1am and the remaining hard core group (me, Dan, our Group leader and 3 others) went on to a club. We danced on the podium (surprise, surprise) with glow bands on our wrists and buckets of beer! It was really cool!
We finally decided to call it a night and headed back to the hotel in two Tuk Tuk's which were practically racing each other, and loads faster than the ones in Cambodia!
We were sad to say our good bye's to our new friends and particularly our fantastic group leader, but at the same time looking forward to some relaxation and luxury at our boutique resort near Krabi.
