11-10 to 11-16-10 Wears Valley, Tennessee

We drove southeast to Wears Valley, Tennessee (near Townsend, TN), just southeast of Pigeon Forge 9 miles. We plan to stay here for a week. The fall colors are still present and beautiful. See attached photos. On Friday we drove through Cades Cove to see the fall color and on the weekend we drove the Foothills Parkway. Both had great fall color views of the Smoky Mountains. It started raining Monday and Tuesday, but is supposed to be clear on Wednesday. We plan to leave here Wednesday and go to Columbia, South Carolina for one night before traveling south to Hardeeville, SC just north of Savannah, GA.
