A Quiet Day
Nov 7, 2010
|The clocks were turned back last night and we were awake at 5:00 which was 6:00 yesterday.
Today is a day when we saw our friends leaving and heading back home. Some to Missouri and Heinz & Irene headed home to Canada.
Marilyn & I did our coffee thing, sitting together with the fireplace and soft music.
Joyce stopped by for a moment and later, Marilyn & I walked down to share hugs with Heinz & Irene as we bid them safe travels.
Back at the RV we finished up some morning chores and then Marilyn began fixing some peppered bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.
Sherry called and asked if we would like to join the classmates for a plantation tour before they head north.
Marilyn had the bacon finished and had just put the eggs in the skillet, as the toast popped up. Breakfast was only a minute or two away, so we passed on the tour opportunity.
We are tired and Marilyn is still bruised and sore, so we are looking forward to a quiet day today. We need some down time to just relax.
The sky is clear and the sun is shining brightly. The temperature is supposed to hover around 70 degrees today. A beautiful day should not be wasted so we planned to get outside, even though we had no plans to go anywhere.
I did need to go out to fill the truck with diesel fuel so that we can make it all the way to Abbeville without stopping for fuel, tomorrow.
In Abbeville we plan to enjoy some good Cajun food (Think “Suire’s“), listen to some Cajun music, take a Swamp Tour, and relax with the crowd at Betty’s RV Park.
One week from today we plan to arrive at our Texas Home of Llano Grande, in Mercedes.
We have many things to get done and look forward to being home to get started.
Money issues to take care of, the Truck and RV need some serious cleaning, inside and out, and many other small issues to get finished.
Part of the afternoon we spent getting ready to roll.
Tomorrow we’ll be back “On the Road Again”.
Life is Good!
