Today was tough! After yet another sleepless, freezing cold night I awoke with a dry nose, sore throat and tight chest. After breakfast we headed out into the crisp mountain air dressed in nearly everything we bought. A layer of frost kissed the ground and Everest still stood tall and proud with a cloudless blue backdrop.

We started our trek descending but I wasn't feeling well at all and started vomiting again. I'm not sure whether its altitude related or just sheer exhaustion and cold. I carried on even though I wasn't well but just took it slow as my chest is so tight. The climb today was steady although I found it hard due to fatigue. Joss helped me by carrying my back and encouraging me to continue. I can't really comment much on the hike as I had my head down most of the way trying to focus on something other than feeling terrible. We walked for 6 hours in the end and a sense of relief filled us all when reached our tea house in Dinboche. We are now well over 14,000ft so pretty high....
