Go East Young(?) Couple travel blog

From the heat and humidity of Florida we headed west into the Central Time Zone and through Alabama into Mississippi, then into Louisiana and back north into Mississippi. Stayed in a fairly good RV park in Gulfport, MS, and then on past New Orleans back to Byram, MS, just south of Jackson. We didn't take the time we would have liked to do some sightseeing along the Gulf since we have somewhat of a deadline for being home, with stops in Kansas and Southern California.

The scenery was not too different yet, with intermittent wetlands along the freeway, but mostly forested with a mix of evergreens and deciduous trees. However, the weather began to get cooler, though the rain seems to have been gone. Though we had no wife, we did have cable for TV, and the weather warned of a cool snap beginning. Well, it is fall, after all! So I turned on the propane, and we were (fortunately) ready.

Linda was up briefly about 4 am, and turned on the bathroom faucet to a drip to keep from having frozen pipes. She may not have needed that, but there was frost on the windows of all the cars and RVs in the park when we woke up later! I did turn on the heater for a few minutes before we got up. Well, the heat and humidity are not here!
