Heading to Bryce Canyon, UtahNov 2, 2010

| We are taking a side trip off the I15, over to Bryce Canyon. The scenery is everchanging as you can see by the pictures! It's like a kaleidoscope! We're leaving the motorhome in Panguitsh tomorrow and driving over to the Bryce Canyon. It supposed to be very scenic. We had our Anniversary supper in a little cafe in Panguitsh, and ran into some other folks heading south. Everyone is so helpful and we are such Newbies. The folks we were talking to are in the 19th year!! Can't imagiine that! Doug is doing an absolutely great job driving! He hasn't let me get behind the wheel yet -- guess he's not too comfortable with that yet, he, he. Came through about 30 miles of construction just out of Salt Lake -- they still travel 65 - 75 though, 3 lanes -- nothing slows those folks down. At one stretch in the road (not construction) the speed limit was posted as 85! Never seen that before. Oh, I almost forgot -- see the last few pictures -- Big Rock Candy Mountain! My dad used to sing a song about that mountain -- was cool to see it! Only one regret -- we didn't stop, it came up so quick, but thinking now we should have turned around and went into that little shop. Darn! |
