| Today we drive to Canterbury for the Cathedral. Quite a drive, there and back. Doesn't seem so far on the map, but lots of small towns and parked cars on the side of the road. Park and Ride was the way to go. Great time, and to finish the day we went to Smallhythe Place the home of Ellen Terrey. A very accomplished actress, later a Dame. The house must have no foundations, as the floors were very uneven. Garden was lovely....an English cottage garden. |
