James's Middle East Trip 2010 travel blog

Today was time to leave Syria and head on to Turkey. I'll remember Syria especially for random ginger people and albino's. Everywhere we went they kept turning up.

We headed off about midday so some shop wandering time in the souk prior.

Then it was the fun of mini-bus / border crossing times. Its always amazing the beaurocracy needed to enter and leave borders over here. But it could have been MUCH worse.

We arrived into the afternoon at Antakya, a nice little city beside a river. Nothing too much to attract the tourist as this was more of an on the way place to stop and not a destination. But it was nice to walk around and find some food and talk to some friendly locals.
