The site where Paul Revere was detained by the British on April...

Today, we took a short 9mile walk. Since we are here in the area that is recorded as the "Birthplace of America", we walked a short portion of the 20mile route that the British took on April 19, 1775 when they met with the Colony's Minutemen and the "Shot heard around the world" was fired. We visited the site where Paul Revere was stopped and detained for 4 hours during his midnight ride announcing that the "British were coming". It took us nearly 6 hours to walk the 9 miles, and the British did 20 miles each way (total of 40 miles) in less than 24 hours. Boy were our legs tired and sore.
