The Big Trip Around Aus. in a Tin Can travel blog

26th October. Dinner last night was very nice and not at all expensive, I played the pokies for a few minutes but did my money. Today we were heading for Port Germein but decided after stopping there for morning tea (even though it was a nice little seaside villge) that we would continue on to Port Pirie, we decided to stay at the Foreshore Caravan Park for three nights, it is a very nice park, good amenities, and the most beautiful rose gardens.

27 th October. There isn’t a lot to see or do at Port Pirie itself, it is mainly, as the name suggests a port. I have decided to make the Christmas cakes and pudding. So that is a job done. We did some shopping but generally took it easy. We went to the information centre and had a look around town did a bit of shopping.

28th October. I baked the second cake, but apart from a bit more shopping didn’t do a lot. We finally managed to get a booking for the Christmas/New Year period we knew we would have to book early, but it was surprising just how many C.P.s were aleady booked out. Alan and Wayne must have phone a dozen or so parks before finding one with vacancies They sure know how to charge it is $625 for two weeks. We will be spending Christmas and New Year at Batemans Bay which should be enjoyable.
