We spent the first few days on the island around Charlottetown. Charlottetown is the smallest of all the Canadian provincial capitals. It is a quiet old country town with pretty Colonial and Victorian buildings.The harbour has been restored and tells the tale of the Conference for Confederation held in the city in 1864, which marked the beginning of Canada as a state.
