Went with our friends to meet two other couples in Mount Airy. Had another pork chop sandwich in Snappy’s which we all enjoyed. We walked around and checked out some shops. Then we all went up the mountain to see Ken and Vernell’s possible new cabin. Unfortunately, it was very foggy which made for a very scary drive but we finally made it. They told us it had a beautiful view of the mountains but we had to take their word for it. Went to their current place in Fancy Gap and had a drink and cookies. After a nice visit, we headed back down the mountain and luckily ran out of the fog. We stopped at a roadside stand and got some apple cider, cabbage, country ham, sweet potatoes and dried beans. Guess what dinner is going to be tomorrow??!! I’m going to cook the beans in the slow cooker while we’re driving so they’ll be ready when we arrive at our campsite tomorrow night. It’s been a great time and we hate for it to end, but we’ll all be back together in Sandbridge this weekend. We are so fortunate to have this lifestyle and such good friends to enjoy it with. Until we meet again…
