Mike and Sally wave goodbye

And off they go into the sunset; oops, sunrise

The clouds are moving on out

A rest stop along the Fraser River becomes a fishing spot

McBride is a friendly town

The center of town is the train depot

All the fire hydrants are whimsically painted

Here comes the train

Wouldn't you just love to ride these rails?

Beaver River Recreation Site-a great place to dry camp along the Beaver...

Let me guess, it must be raining!

Campground: Beaverview RV Park

Fortunately the rain stopped, a good omen for Sally and Mike’s drive home. We followed them for a few miles but we turned off and they went straight south. We are so sad!

We followed the Fraser River to McBride and, of course, at one rest stop the boys had to fish.

McBride BC is a delightful little town located in the Robson Valley by the Fraser River. It was established in 1913 as a divisional point on the railroad and the train station is a central point of the McBride landscape. It’s very flat in the town. As part of the town’s charm, they paint the fire hydrants.

The park is just a very large field. We walked around town then hiked along Beaver Creek on the Beaver Falls Trail. There is a very nice dry camping area along the creek. Wish we could have stayed here longer.
