traveling in style!
| Headed HOME! We got on the road about 11:30 am PT. 50 degrees. At 12:20, we arrived in Winslow, AZ. "Standin on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, such a fine sight to see!" From an Eagles song. We drove downtown and they had a cool area dedicated to the song so we stopped for a bit. The trip home follows Route 66 to Oklahoma City, so we see lots of references to Route 66. Had lunch and then got back on the road. Entered New Mexico at 5:05, still in mountain time zone. We finally stopped in Tucumcari, NM at 10 pm for the night. We are listening to audio books to pass the time and this one is a thriller. Will finish the book tomorrow! |
