Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We were up early once again. There is no sleeping in when we baby sit, because we pick the kids up before 7:00 AM and take them back after 7:30 PM.

Colby is an absolute pleasure though, as he is old enough to interact and easy to entertain. Lauren is more difficult but is easily satisfied by a ride in the stroller. She goes to sleep and will sleep for an hour or more, as long as the stroller keeps moving. LOL

I made a quick trip to Walmart for supplies to fix a pot of beef/vegetable soup.

We walked and played with the grandkids, watched animated movies and played some more. After 12 hours or more we are worn out.

At our age, it doesn’t take much to wear us out. LOL

It was one of those awesome fall days today, with a nice breeze blowing the leaves around. It was warm but a hint of colder air made it very comfortable.

We have plans to get some things done tomorrow, in preparation for leaving one week from today.

Our plan is to drive through St Louis on Sunday morning when the traffic is light, and stop for the night in Sikeston, MO.

One or two nights in Grenada, MS and then on to New Orleans is the plan after that.

We are ready to be in the RGV again. We get to missing that place, but our overall favorite is Colorado. In fact, we think that if we ever make a decision to settle down in one place that it would be in the Colorado Springs area. Only the winter scares us. The other three seasons would be just fine in that area.

For now though, we will simply enjoy spending time with Jen and the grandkids.

Life is Good!
