This morning I was on the road by 9:30, heading for Tyler State Park north of Tyler for the fall Lazy Daze rally. I stopped several times but still arrived at a reasonable hour. Along the way I saw hints of fall foliage. It is still a bit early for full fall colors.

The annual Rose Festival was held this week end. This has been an annual tradition since 1933. They had changed the day for the Rose Queen’s Tea to Thursday afternoon at 3:00. I arrived too late to attend.

Late this afternoon I had a pleasant walk on the Blackjack Nature Trail with Dena Kelley and her dog, Brazoria, a.k.a., Brazzy.

Tonight we had a hotdog supper. The group this time was smaller than usual. We were in the Blackjack Area where there is a group pavilion with back-in sites around it.

Our weather couldn’t have been better. Night temperatures were in the 50s and daytime highs in the 70s. It was sunny and there was no wind.
