Dinner night 1

Dinner night 2

The sweet smell of Old Spice hitting my underarms after a scalding 40 minute shower was exactly what I needed before sleeping harder than a newborn who missed his afternoon nap. That is really all I remember from last night after the cab ride from the Prague airport. To say that I felt great this morning when I rose, fully rested, from soft warm bed would be the understatement of the century. So good, in fact, did I feel that I celebrated by emptying 2/3 of a brand new box of cereal into a punch bowl size container, adding a comparable portion of milk, and letting the sweet cinnamon Garfield the cat shapes hit my tongue for 25 minutes straight. Heaven in a bowl, I’m telling you. My body was still on its unruly caloric demand from the days of hiking and 20 minutes later I was scouring the streets of Prague for more sustenance. As a part of my rampant appetite induced craze, I invented a delightful game called pick the sausage. Not nearly as gay as it sounds, it involved going into various butcher shops around the city and picking the tastiest looking sausages from the endless varieties that were on display. After picking tasty looking morsels, I spiced things up by getting a half pound of this meatloaf looking brick about which I knew absolutely nothing. Heading home I bought some fruit to be healthy and then cancelled it out by stopping by the bakery and stocking up on my favorite cream filled pastries along with a chunk on blueberry break and a bacon covered mini pizza bread thing. When I got home I started in on the sausage and didn’t stop until everything I had bought (save the fruit) was gone. “Welcome home, Kelly” I thought. I had arrived.

Satiated for the moment I dedicated the rest of the day to apartment hunting for Buenos Aires and sorting/labeling the gigabytes of pictures and video from my hike. It was an enjoyable day at the office if I’ve ever had one. I got to talk to my parents, Helma, my sister, Adam, two Dan’s and even Dana. I am back baby. Get ready.
